  • When using TI's Developer Portal, we recommend using Chrome, Firefox or any internet browser other than Internet Explorer (IE).

  • If you need assistance, go to https://api-portal.ti.com/contact and complete the request form. You will receive a response from a technical expert in 48 hours or less.

  • After testing your application and related proposition(s) in our sandbox environment, you will need to submit a request to go live in TI’s production environment. To do this:

    ·         Create a new Team App for production and receive a unique API key that you can use for your production environment.

To get production access, make sure that both your account and App details are registered correctly.

    ·         Subscribe to the API products you want to use in the production environment.

    ·         Submit your request and contact us to request production access. Depending on the API, our API Services team might contact you to discuss the details of your request.

Once approved, you are ready to use our API in a live environment.

  • TI offers two types of environments for API production: sandbox and production. Authorized users can use the sandbox to test their application and will need to receive a unique API key from TI to move the API into the live environment.

  • Our APIs are secured using OAuth 2.0 using access tokens. This means you will need to pass an access token when making your request to the APIs. To obtain an access token, you will need to call our OAuth API. The authentication mechanism can vary by API depending on the required level of authentication.

The URLs for the endpoints to get the tokens are:

  • With your myTI account, log in to the TI Developer’s Portal and select 'My Apps' to register an application and select the products you would like to access. Your access should be granted very quickly.

  • This portal gives anyone interested in accessing TI product and purchasing resources the ability to access information quickly. Authorized users are able to use TI Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to check inventory and availability status, request quotes, place orders, retrieve shipping and financial information, and much more.

  • API stands for Application Programming Interface, which is a software intermediary that allows two applications to talk to each other. An API product bundles resources (such as API proxies) in order to provide a specific level of access and functionality for client app developers. On the other hand an API product typically specifies a list of API proxies, along with access limits, API key approval method, and other configuration that should be in place for all of the bundled proxies.

  • To request a key:

    • Log in to the Developer Portal using your myTI account
    • Select 'Apps' in the upper right corner
    • Register an application and select the products you would like access to
    • The Apps menu will show your application with key details: key, secret, status
    • If the status says pending, someone from TI will need to approve your access before you can begin using the key and secret
